The Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) – Rocky Mountain Region (RMR) will be hosting its 10th annual Regional Education Summit on Thursday May 14th, 2026, in Denver, Colorado and you are invited to submit a proposal for presentation!  

The summit provides a platform for experienced, knowledgeable, and well-spoken industry professionals to share experience with innovative funding, collaborative delivery, and smarter technology related to Design-Build project delivery. Be an integral part of DBIA RMR, as we educate our membership and promote the value of Design-Build project delivery. 


We want to hear from YOU! 

SUBMITTALS ARE DUE BY FRIDAY JANUARY 13th at 5:00 PM MST 

With design-build expanding through our industry sectors, we’re inviting experts to share project experience, insights and industry trends to advance the future of design-build delivery. Preference will be given to presentations that include the owner’s perspective.  We are seeking presentations and panels on the following topics this year: 

  • Why Design-Build? Considerations in choosing design-build or progressive design-build delivery.

  • Industry Trends and Evolution: Explore the latest in design-build and Progressive Design Build practices, engineering advancements, and supply chain management.

  • Collaboration and Integration: Share strategies for early engagement, effective team collaboration, communication and team integration.

  • Public and Private Sector Engagement: Dive into effective Owner relationships, innovative financing, and procurement methodologies.

  • Legal and Contracting Best Practices and Challenges: Understanding the contracting landscape of design-build from the owner, design-builder and the designer’s perspective.

  • Technology and Innovation: Cover cutting-edge technologies like VDC, BIM, and AI, and discuss preconstruction and estimating advancements.

  • Best Practices and Lessons Learned: Share your experiences and lessons learned from recent design-build projects. Highlight unique aspects, technical hurdles, innovative solutions, successes, and areas for improvement.

  • Sustainability and Resiliency: Discuss design-build’s role in meeting sustainability and resiliency goals, especially in crisis scenarios.

  • Leadership, Professional Performance and Workforce Development: Present on essential soft skills such as leadership, mentorship, negotiation, conflict resolution, and workforce retention in the evolving AEC landscape. 


How to Submit:

  • Abstract: Provide a brief summary (250-300 words) of your proposed presentation. Abstracts should describe the key elements of the presentation and what the attendees will gain from the discussion. Please list 4 learning objectives, anticipated presenter(s) and credentials, and the format for your presentation (lecture, workshop, panel discussion, or other format). Owner participation in case studies is encouraged.

  • Deadline: Submit your proposal by January 13th, 2026 to amanda@dbiarmr.org  Speakers will be notified of the status of their proposals by the end of January.
